Summary: It proposes a literary critical analysis of a selection of texts extracted from Adélia Prado's eight poetry books: Bagagem (1976), O coração disparado (1978), Terra de Santa Cruz (1981), O pelicano (1987), A faca no peito (1988), Oráculos de Maio (1999), A duração do dia (2010) and Miserere (2014). The starting point of the research is a proposition by Augusto Massi (2015), which establishes three fundamental lyrical movements internally configured in the Adélias poetic work. The thesis aligns the analysis of the poems, to defend the hypothesis that they are identifiable: the peculiarities of each of the author's poetic publications, highlighting common and differentiating aspects between her books, observing the singularities of each of them within the movements proposed by Massi. Of the aspects observed in the materiality of the verses, it highlights as a basic element various manifestations of female ethé. The thesis is structured in two major topics: the first locates the author's work between contemporary poetic and critical-historiographical discourses, and the second concerns the analysis of the corpus itself, highlighting the characteristics of the Adélias poetic modes, contemplated in the lyrics movements of her poetry, each comprising a specific chapter. To support them, the methodology implied the critical study of the books, proposing comments and analyzes, establishing inter and intratextual connections in the poems. As the analysis of the verses requested theoretical-critical deepening, in the light of the objectives of this work, they were interdisciplinarily sought in the field of Lyric Theory, Criticism and Literary History and Discourse Analysis, in the work of, respectively: Francisco Achcar (1984); Augusto Massi (2015) and Antonio Candido (1986; 1989) and Dominique Maingueneau (2004; 2010), among other names and also from representatives of other fields of knowledge. As final considerations, points of convergence and formal and thematic distances are listed among the author's publications. It was found that in the poetic modes of Adélia Prado, the main points of convergence are: relationship with daily life, memory and religiosity, presence of women who enunciate the poems, linking with orality discourses and eroticism. The divergent ones reveal themselves, above all, in the variations of: tonality between the works that accompany the cycles of existence; fonts that support intertextual dialogs; enunciation of the female ethé; and perception about the exercise of the poet's office.
